In order to promote Bangladesh to a middle-income country based on knowledge and technology, the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology is implementing development of ICT infrastructure, establishment of e-governance, development of ICT industry and human resource development through sustainable development of Digital Bangladesh. As a part of this, Jhalakathi District Office and Upazila Office of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology are providing all kinds of information and production-based services, advice and technical support to the people of all levels, including all the government offices in the district. For the purpose of expanding ICT, Information and Communication Technology Day 23, Digital Bangladesh Day 23, Writing and Drawing Competition, National Development Fair 26 and 28, Programming Contest have been organized at the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu. Under the project "Establishment of Computer and Language Training Labs in Education Institutes of the Country", 'Sheikh Russell Digital Lab' has been set up in 25 educational institutes in the district, including six language training labs and 'Sheikh Russell Digital Classroom' in six primary schools. Assist the district administration in conducting at least 5 videos a month with the ministry / department / department /, to train 4 teachers of 'Sheikh Russell Digital Lab' at basic ICT in Education Literacy, Troubleshooting and Maintenance training, district / upazila level to enhance professional skills. E-document training has been provided to 6 of the officers / employees and training of national information distribution to 20 persons.
